Top Secret Copycat Recipes: Boston Market Meatloaf Recipe

We were recently emailed and told that the copycat recipe for Boston Market meatloaf we had published was a copyrighted recipe. We have no desire to publish any copycat recipes that break any copyright laws. So, we have taken down the copycat Boston Market meatloaf recipe which had previously been here. Instead, we have put in place a meatloaf recipe which we feel is in the same spirit of Boston Market meatloaf recipe but which we feel is actually much better than the real Boston Market meatloaf recipe. Go on, try it and we bet you will think it is even better than the copycat Boston Market meatloaf recipe.

(better than the) Copycat Boston Market Meatloaf Recipe

Ingredients:

* 1 1/5 pounds ground chuck
* 1 large egg
* 1 cup fresh Italian breadcrumbs
* 1 small onion, very finely chopped
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
* 1 can fresh tomato sauce

BBQ Topping:

* 1/2 cup cold water
* 3 1/2 tablespoons cider vinegar
* 3 tablespoons sugar
* 3 tablespoons spicy mustard
* 3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
* 1 large can fresh tomato sauce

Directions:


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2.Combine the beef, breadcrumbs, onion, salt, pepper, tomato sauce and egg in a big bowl.

3. Mix together with your hands until well blended.

4. Put the mixture into a loaf tin and put to one side.

5. To make the BBQ topping, combine the water, vinegar, sugar, mustard,Worcestershire sauce and tomato sauce in a bowl and blend well.

6. Pour the mixture on top of the meatloaf.

7. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

8. Serve.
